Welcome to Crucible.
Wow. We started on April 11th, 1998.
And we're still going. And we still have an average attendance of 25-30 people per game.
Wow.
For those of you who have come here by accident or by idle curiosity, an explanation may be in order. This web page is the information center and entertainment center for the players of the Crucible Chronicle, which is a Live Action Role Playing (LARP) game based on White Wolf's Mind's Eye Theatre rules. This game is based mostly on the rules for the Vampire aspect of White Wolf's World of Darkness.
This is a fictional setting, filled with mystery, violence, blatant disregard for the law, bloodthirsty creatures of the night, supernatural dealings and many other sorts of evil, dark, possibly socially unacceptable things. I say this to warn those who may proceed and be offended by something they read or see. There is no profanity (if there is, it was an accident, and please let me know so that I can remove it!), no nudity, no graphic displays of violence or gore. The unlawfulness, violence and other nasty evil things are all narrative and/or implied, rather than blatant and in-your-face.
This site is meant as a resource for those playing the Crucible Chronicle, but any and all are free to view it, now that you know what to expect.
No, none of the players actually believe that they are vampires.
No, nobody actually drinks blood (ewwww!).
No, nobody is actually hurt, tortured, injured or even tickled during play.
Okay... so there was one tickling.
With that covered...
Come to Crucible...
